Notice from the Deputy Minister of the Interior (Macedonia-Thrace Division) on the Balkan Forum

Dear Sir/Madam

The development of contemporary foreign infrastructures and networks is the motivation for promoting effective transnational cooperation on the field of entrepreneurship and innovation as well as for captivating significant investment projects.

Meanwhile, the modernization and development of corporate, transport, technological and energy infrastructures constitute a major prerequisite for the financial convergence and coherence of the Balkan countries and round regions.

Promoting the strategy of parallel development requires a brand new approach, not only based on planning and collaboration, but also built on the principles of mutuality and public interest, a matter indisputably concerning the people and the society.

Opportunity shall be taken by the conversation that has officially commenced in a European level, concerning the process of integration of the rest of the West Balkan countries in the EU, the Ministry of Interior (Sector of Macedonia and Thrace) is the 1st Balkan Forum on April 5 & 6, 2019, in Thessaloniki, aiming the designation of the significance that the trans-Balkan infrastructures and networks do have, as levers of endorsing entrepreneurship and innovation in the Balkan countries.

The Balkans primarily demand stability, financial support, security, development and prosperity.

We strongly believe that the 1st Balkan Forum will be the beginning of a series of critical initiatives for promoting the cooperation of the Balkan countries and people. We are looking forward to discussing our mutual Balkan future.

Necessity and Objectives of the Forum

The promotion of the necessary actions for the modernization and the further development of Interbalkan business, transport, industrial, technological and energy infrastructures and networks constitutes a prerequisite for the economic convergence among the Balkan regions and countries and also an essential key driver for the promotion of transnational cooperation on entrepreneurship and innovation. No serious and effective transnational networking in the field of business and innovation can be promoted and no serious investment proposals can be attracted without modern Interbalkan infrastructures and networks.
